ways we work sustainably
our metal supplier values their responsibility to the environment and operates their facility with nearly 5 acres of solar panels. their operations circulate recycled metals to jewelers and metalsmiths who contribute to that cycle by saving and recycling every scrap of metal from the workbench.
all studio scraps, metal dust, and shavings are recycled through Precious Metals Refining Services. read more about them here.
SUN & SELENE purchases are minimally packed with reusable elements including our velvet pouches and boxes.
online orders are shipped in EcoEnclose bubble mailers that are made from 50% recycled content and 10% post-consumer waste. the mailers have two adhesive strips allowing for us to use the upper strip before shipping, and then customers can use the lower strip for sealing the mailer when making a return or recycling for a future shipment.
wholesale orders are packed in green-line bags which are biodegradable and reusable.
